11-year-old Liao from Myanmar, who had a 160 degree spinal curvature, was treated at Chiayi Christian Hospital by Dr. Chen, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon also from Myanmar. Due to the hospital's active assistance and numerous resources, Liao was able to correct her lateral curvature to 57 degrees, allowing her lungs and heart to no longer be compressed, and is now once again able to wear her beloved dresses.
