A-Spine Holding Group Corp. (ASH) and
its subsidiaries, invest in, develop, manufacture,
market and distribute orthopedic products worldwide. ASH
has more than 20 years of experience in the spinal
market and consists of three wholly owned subsidiaries:
A-Spine Asia Co., Ltd., A-Spine USA, Inc., and A-Spine
Research Inc. located in Taiwan, the United States and
Japan respectively.
The predecessor to ASH, A-Spine Inc.
(ASI), was formed in Japan in May of 2001. CMT's rich
intellectual property portfolio (with over 120 patents),
global sales network and innovative research &
development with Ammtec, one of the largest distributor
networks in Japan, combined to form a new leader in the
orthopedic market. In June 2001, venture capital from
President Life Science Cayman Co. (PLS) and JAFCO Co.
Ltd. of Japan brought together two additional companies
with strength and insight. PLS, part of the Uni-President
Group, one of Asia-Pacificlargest
conglomerates, well-known in Greater China for its
investment diversifications and active role in the
biotech field, and JAFCO, one of Japan largest
venture capitalists, a company known for its visionary
and profitable investments in developing fields, all
came together with a capital investment of 4,500,000 US
Dollars realizing the orthopedic market great potential.
Concurrently, due to considerations
of a rapid expanding global market and the need for a
sales force more attuned to local market trends, A-Spine
Asia and A-Spine USA was established in Taiwan and the
US giving ASH a presence in the world's largest
orthopedic market.
A-Spine Holding Group Corp. was
established in the British Virgin Islands, March 2002,
replacing ASI due in part to the financial benefits
associated with establishing business there. ASH thus
became the new parent company of A-Spine Asia, A-Spine
USA, and the later formed A-Spine Research Inc. (ASR).
ASR was established in Japan in June 2002 placing it in
a favorable position in the world second largest
market, allowing it to focus on the rapid projected
growth there.
