A-Spine Asia (ASA)
entered into an agreement with Chindex Medical Limited
(CML) of Beijing, China for the distribution of ASA’s
SmartLoc®
Advanced Spinal Fixation System and Vigor PEEK Interbody
Fusion Cages in China.
The Distribution
Agreement was jointly signed on Dec. 29, 2011 at
FosunPharma headquarters in Shanghai by Mr. Ding Xiaojun,
CEO of CML and Mr. David Chang, President of ASA.

A-Spine Asia Receives FDA 510(K) Clearance for SmartLoc®
Spinal Fixation System
Taipei, Taiwan (Oct.
24, 2011) –
A-Spine Asia announced
today that it has received 510(K) clearance from the
U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market the SmartLoc®
Spinal Fixation System.
It is the first
product from A-Spine Asia receiving 510(K) clearance.
SmartLoc®
is a top-loading pedicle screw spinal fixation system
intended to provide immobilization and stabilization of
thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spinal segments as an
adjunct to fusion.
Since its official
launch in 2006 till now, more than 20,000 procedures
have been performed with this system in Taiwan. For

Asia receives DOH approval to market the Segmental Spinal
Correction System (SSCS), a dynamic stabilization system
from Ulrich Medical, Germany (www.ulrichmedical.com).
This unique dynamic system will be officially launched in
January 2010. . A-Spine Asia is the exclusive distributor
in Taiwan for the spinal implants from Ulrich Medical.

Asia receives DOH approval to market geneX Putty, a newly
developed bone graft with 510(k) clearance from
Biocomposites, UK (www.biocomposites.com).
A-Spine Asia is the exclusive distributor in Taiwan for

appoints Mr. Ted T.C. Tu as the Chairman of A-Spine Asia (ASA).
Mr. Tu is also the President of both President
International Development Corp. (PIDC) and President Life
Sciences Co. Ltd. (PLS). PLS, 100% owned by PIDC, is now
the major shareholder of ASA with 76.48% shares.

from Dept. of Health (DOH) in Taiwan for the imported
products Add & AddPlus from
Ulrich Medical, Germany.
As the exclusive distributor for Ulrich Medical, A-Spine
Asia is planning to officially launch Add/AddPlus
in Taiwan in January 2007. VBR, another product from
Ulrich will be launched soon after receiving
DOH’s approval.

A-Spine Holding Group Corp. held its first A-Spine
International Seminar, since its inception in May 2002,
at the Arcadia Resort, Phuket Island, Thailand. The
event, which was two years in the planning, brought
together hundreds of surgeons, distributors and clients
from all over the world for an educated forum to share
experiences as well as introduce new advances in spinal
surgery. Keynote speaker Dr. Hansen Yuan, an
internationally known orthopedic surgeon, presided over

A-Spine Inc. Announces Successful Formation
The merging of Central
Medical Technologies of Taiwan, Ammtec Inc. of Japan,
and Advanced Spine Technologies of the U.S., has
resulted in the formation of A-Spine Inc. The merger was
completed with the addition of venture capital funds
from JAFCO (Japan) and President Life Sciences (Taiwan).
The deal gives A-Spine Inc. a dominant position in the
lucrative Taiwanese and Japanese orthopedic markets.
Capital will be used to make further inroads in Asia as
well as penetrate U.S. and European markets.
